EARLY-BIRD EXPLORER

(1hr River Expedition) 08h30 – 09h30

This expedition is designed for clients who have limited time and would like to experience the Zambezi River in a short, exciting morning adventure. This expedition is ideal for clients who want to do a river-based activity before departing for Livingstone Airport (South African Airways / British Airways departures.)

The Sunset Explorer adventures to locations rarely accessed by commercial river operators on the Zambezi River with unsurpassed photographic opportunities of Zambezi islands, wildlife and birds. A light refreshment and snack will be available on the homestretch whilst we enjoy the infamous African sunset. The expedition is ideal for families, friends and small VIP groups.

  • Hat and Sunglasses, Sunscreen Lotion, A cool, long-sleeved shirt is advised for sun protection
  • Camera / Binoculars at your own discretion
  • A warm jacket is advised during winter.

    GENERAL INFO

    • All expeditions depart/return from the jetty at The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa. • Life jackets are supplied and it is compulsory that this be worn for the duration of the expedition. • Refreshments are served on the speedboat, please notify us in advance of any dietary requirements. • Regret fishing is not available on these expeditions. • Please note that there are no toilet facilities available on the speedboats.

    TRANSFERS

    • The expeditions include non-exclusive return transfers from hotels within Livingstone. • Please note that private transfers are available on request at additional fee. • Please note that pick-up / drop-off times may vary depending on location of Livingstone hotel/lodges

    PRIVATE EXPEDITIONS

    Guaranteed private expeditions are available on request. • Min Pay requirement applies. • Please note that not all boats may be operational at the same time therefore group bookings are on a request basis only.

    NUMBER OF GUESTS

    Minimum – 2 people
    Maximum – 24 people

    AGE RESTRICTION

    There is no age limit but guardians of Minors (under 18) will be required to sign an indemnity form on behalf of the minors. A Guardian must accompany children under the age of 16 throughout the activity.

    INSURANCE

    All clients are covered by Specialty Emergency Services (S.E.S) through Safari Par Excellence; however this only covers them for emergency evacuation in life threatening situations. It does not cover hospitalization and medication. As such, travel and medical insurance is compulsory for all clients.
